This Tuesday afternoon was marked by protests, blockades and Transmilenio station closures at various points in Bogotá. After a hectic day, the night closed with the Esmad using force to disperse concentrations of gastrobar owners.

Some protesters were protesting on 85th street against the measure taken by the Mayor’s Office to close those establishments in the capital. After blocking the passage of vehicles, the Mobile Anti-Riot Squad arrived at the scene and ran them out.

The W reported that the event took place between the Autopista Norte and Carrera 15. A video posted by the station shows that the uniformed officers detonated stun bombs and pushed some of those present. Smoke from the outbursts was also part of the scene.

Dialogues between the Police and protesters in the north of Bogotá

For its part, News Caracol pointed that the confrontations were concentrated closer to the North Highway than to Carrera 15.

In fact, the media noted that on race 15 there were dialogues between the protesters and the Public Force to avoid further disturbances.
