In the Metropolitan Stadium of Techo, Deportivo Cali ended the streak of bad results and with a 2-5 win over La Equidad, he got into the group of eight, reaching 28 points in the BetPlay League.
With the need to get among the classifieds, Deportivo Cali came out with all the impetus to seek the result in Bogotá. In the second half, Equidad came out with a better proposal and in the 48th minute he missed a great opportunity to equalize the match. An error by the visiting defense allowed Herazo to go hand in hand with De Amores, but the gunner of the capital box rushed in the definition and ended up leaving the Uruguayan goalkeeper as a figure, who again prevented the ball from touching the bottom of the net.
However, at minute 60, Deportivo Cali managed to increase the difference on the board, thanks to a charge from the penalty spot by Marco Pérez. The judge of the contest, John Alexander Ospina, was called by the VAR officials -in the second half it worked normally after presenting failures in the first half- to review the play in which Walmer Pacheco made a clear hand inside the area. Ospina did not hesitate and pointed out the infraction. Pérez, with a powerful shot with his right leg, turned the foul into a goal.
With the two goals against, Alexis García kicked the board and with some changes he turned the functioning of his team around. In the 76th minute, a good play by Pablo Lima served Herazo to get up in the area and lower the ball to Larry Angulo, who, with total freedom, only had to send the ball to the back of the net.
After the discount, Equidad continued with the attack and with Daniel Mantilla he was close to tying the match. The midfielder took a strong shot that De Amores saved, producing the corner kick that ended in a partial tie. Cali continued with its offense and in the 89th minute scored the fourth goal of the game, thanks to a good definition from Angelo Rodríguez. As if that were not enough, in the time of addition, an attack by Bonilla -he was expelled-, without the ball, to one of his rivals, allowed Gastón Rodríguez to convert his second of the night from the penalty spot, and likewise the fifth for Deportivo Cali.
With the victory, Deportivo Cali got into the group of eight and with 28 points it was left with the third box of the classification. Equity is fifth with 27 points.
