And one day the League returned. After playing the Super League and two postponed matches from past days, this Friday, September 18, a new date for Colombian football was played.
On this occasion, Equidad beat Boyacá Chicó 4-0 with scores from Matías Mier (x2), Pablo Sabbag and Juan Alejandro Mahecha.
The game could not start in the best way. With ten minutes played, Matías Mier took care of a corner kick, his charge was closed and the ball passed goalkeeper Pablo Mina. Olympic goal at the Estadio de Techo. Later, Pablo Sabbag with a pirouette tried to extend the advantage, but Mina controlled.
Equidad continued to impose conditions, this time from the still ball and with Mier as the protagonist. The ex-Junior finished with strength a free kick close to the area, but the ball went over the crossbar.
At minute 34, just Mier repeated the dose. The Uruguayan received in the last third, advanced with a dominated ball and released a powerful left foot that left Mina with no option. Four later, Hansel Zapata won on the right, faced inside, threw a wall with Sabbag and finished off the goal, but Mina again saved Chicó. And so the first part would end.
For the second half, Mateo Palacios had the first clear opportunity of the visit with a mid-distance shot that goalkeeper Diego Novoa controlled in two halves. Equity responded later. Amaury Torralvo sent a long pass to Pablo Sabbag who controlled his chest and with a great shot scored the partial 3-0.
At 71 Equidad went on long and sentenced the final 4-0 with a well-managed counterattack, which ultimately was headed by Juan Alejandro Mahecha. But the capital’s happiness would cloud when Stalin Motta was expelled by an elbow. The central judge considered the action a dangerous game and took a direct red at the wheel of Bogota.
