The mayor of Medellín, Daniel Quintero, confirmed that Mapfre Hidroituango’s insurer made a second payment for 100 million dollars for the damages of the contingency in the Hydroelectric project and that adds 150 million dollars delivered in December 2019.
“Mapfre has announced the payment of the 100 million dollars it had for September, this proves two things; The first thing that we continue to make efforts to recover 9.9 billion pesos and we estimate that a part of that will come from insurance companies, but it shows that it was lies that if we started legal proceedings against the contractors, the insurance companies were not going to pay us, they are paying ”.
