In the south of Bogotá there was a large flow of vehicles leaving through the road that leads to the southern and western municipalities of Cundinamarca. Similarly, this road leads to the departments of Tolima, the Eje Cafetero and Valle del Cauca.

As Noticias Caracol recorded, in that area of the south of the capital the usual traffic jam due to the departure of vehicles was made worse by trucks that they downloaded load in the refrigerators and other shops in the area.

Likewise, it was also possible to see how people went out to burn gunpowder in that part of Bogotá, despite the fact that the manipulation of this element is prohibited, as decreed by Mayor Claudia López.

That newscast found that in the area the traffic jam did not allow the cars to exceed 10 kilometres per hour.

In social networks, several people denounced the traffic jams in that area of Bogotá:

At that exit from the city there are also several traffic jams and thousands of cars leaving the city. At one point in the morning a traffic jam of between 2 and 3 kilometers was seen, added Caracol News.

However, the authorities say that this first traffic jam may be because many people got up early to leave the city and that, over the course of the morning things can calm down in that area north of the city.

“We had anticipated that the level of vehicles that was going to leave could be high. Undoubtedly, it is a little more than we expected, but we are putting operations in all the exits of Bogotá, accompanying the travelers, ”said the director of Road Safety of Bogotá, Luis Felipe Lota, in dialogue with Noticias Caracol.
