The Swedish environmentalist Greta Thunberg asked Americans to vote for Democratic candidate Joe Biden in the elections of November 3.

“I never get involved in party politics, but the next election is above all,” The 17-year-old, leader of the international environmental movement “Fridays for Future,” wrote on Twitter.
“From a climate point of view (Biden) is far from enough and several of you surely supported other candidates. But, well, you know … Just get organized and get everyone to vote for #Biden “Thunberg insisted.

I never get involved in political parties. But the upcoming US elections are above and beyond all that.
From a climate perspective, it is far from sufficient, and of course many of you supported other candidates. But, I mean … you know … damn it!

Trump tends to be skeptical of the environment. “Eventually it will cool down,” he said in September of climate change, amid major fires in California. For his part, Biden described the president as a “climate arsonist.”
The US president has mocked the activist on several occasions.

Last December, when Time magazine named her “character of the year,” she noted on Twitter that Thunberg should work to “control her anger.”, suggesting that he “relax” by going to see “a good old movie” with a friend.
Following the young Swede’s participation in the United Nations in September 2019 and her famous speech “How dare you?” Trump ironically called her a “very cheerful young woman” whose vision of a “bright and magnificent” future is “a pleasure to see.”
By contrast, Biden has been enthusiastic about Thunberg. In April, he praised its action, ensuring that it pays attention to the aspirations of youth on climate issues.

The American publication Scientific American also called last month to vote for Biden, being the first time that it takes a partisan position in almost two centuries of history.
The magazine criticized Trump for his rejection of science and his “denial” of climate change. The editorial was posted Friday by Thunberg on Twitter.
