Homer was a purebred dog american bully. “I bought the ticket clarifying that I was traveling solely and exclusively with my puppy, I arrive at the airport where they tell me that I cannot travel with him, we never parted, he always traveled with me as long as necessary and due to company policies – without clarifying – They made me change my pet’s mode of travel, “says María Fernanda.

As a solution, they told him that they could take Homer in a crate in the hold of the plane and they did. Homer traveled in the winery in a crate for dogs, but when they reached their destination, María Fernanda found tragic news.

“Unfortunately upon reaching my destination I find that my pet had passed away, chen I got off the plane I ran to see him to greet him eagerly and I found a shocking scene, he was under all the lifeless suitcases, they did not place him as they should have and they did not give him enough space to breathe, “wrote María Fernanda in your Instagram account.

Easyfly issued a statement of the situation where they regret what happened and explain the facts.

“Respecting and caring for animals is a priority for Easyfly. In Homer’s case, the documentation required for transportation in the cabin was not presented, which includes a medical certificate of emotional support and vaccination card, for which reason the company offered the passenger, Homero’s owner, the option of transporting him in the hold of the plane in a crate, as appropriate in these cases, in accordance with current regulations. In this sense, and with prior authorization from the owner, it was transported, “they indicated.

And they added that “as transporters we do not know the health conditions with which the animals board the aircraft, as well as the special physical, emotional, temperature or pressure conditions that the animal can withstand during the trip, so people are their owners suitable for determining whether, after compliance with aeronautical regulations, animals can travel or not “.

Finally, from the airline they expressed their condolences to Homer’s owner and assured that they will reinforce question protocols so that the owners can determine if in the case of a trip in the warehouse, the breed and the conditions of the animal meet what is necessary for the transport of this.
