In images, it was recorded how a driver, on the road that connects Bojacá and Facatativá, not only ran over a dog but, later, He threatened a group of cyclists with a machete who claimed him for what he had done and for trying to flee the scene.

The events occurred on December 31 and, according to witnesses, the driver was speeding. In the images, which became viral on social networks, it is seen how the group of cyclists points out to the man that he had run over the animal and how he takes out a machete and threatens them: the athletes defend themselves with their bicycles and do not allow him to escape . A colleague who was with him in the van interceded.

However, faced with the complaints, one of the men is seen making fun of the situation.

“We were going with my training team when the driver passed us all. The dogs were playing on the left side of the road, when I saw that the dogs crossed I said ‘watch out for the dogs’. One of them managed to cross … the man could stop, did not stop and ran over the puppy“, Marcela Calderón, one of the cyclists, told CITY TV.

The group stopped to tend to the animal, but it was already dead. “The man came down to treat us badly,” says Calderón.

While the cyclists argued with the driver, the dog’s owner notified the police. “They made me show the video to the police to show that the man did have a machete. The policeman approached, checked the car and took out the machete “, Calderón affirms.

Because of the bearing of the weapon, the man was required.

Later, Pollo Andino, a company to which the involved men and the cargo car were linked, spoke out in a statement.

“We express our total rejection of the events that occurred in which two officials took place (…) they acted on their own account and contrary to the missionary and ethical principles of the company,” said the General Manager of the company and noted that the two men were disengaged from the organization “as soon as the facts were known.”
