The drive-in theater at the Unicentro shopping center in Bogotá began operating on the night of Saturday, September 5, 2020, after the end of the mandatory quarantine to combat the COVID-19 coronavirus pandemic and at the beginning of the new normal in Colombia.
This first screening was with the movie ‘The Wild Call’, starring Harrison Ford. The attendees, wearing masks, were arriving little by little aboard their vehicles.
At the entrance, they found all the biosafety protocols and, once installed, they were asked to turn off the lights of the car so as not to disturb the other spectators.
“It is a new experience and I am very excited. We were a little tired, it’s a new opportunity, “said Mariana Escobar, an assistant to the drive-in.
Diana Bolívar, another of the attendees, celebrated the plan, because, in addition to the fact that people can go out, “it is something safe” and “there is social distancing”.
“We have to support our business again and, well, nothing, my wife, my two children and also the pet are here,” said Édison Soto, who also attended the function.

The ticket office has a cost between 32 and 36 thousand pesos per vehicle, with a maximum capacity of 4 people, and the functions are from Sunday to Sunday at two times: 6:30 and 9:30 p.m.
