The meeting point in Bogotá to begin the mobilizations will be Calle 85 with Carrera 15, north of the city, announced on their social networks The National Movement of Platform Delivers.
From there, they will take all of race 15 to 127, then they will go through race 19 to 161; They will advance to 170 with Autopista Norte, where they will continue their journey to 100th street, to finally take 11th to the Ministry of Labor.
In the mobilizations, about 60 union organizations of distributors, from more than 30 countries, will demonstrate, according to leaders of the National Movement of Platform Delivers, that they are promoting the strike through social networks.
According an international declaration of the domiciliary, published on Twitter, the protesters chose October 8 to go on strike, because they seek to “connect with the defense of the AB5 law in the State of California (USA) that by law has granted labor recognition thousands of application workers ”.
In addition to Colombia, countries such as Brazil, Ecuador, Costa Rica, Chile, Argentina, Mexico, the United States, Japan, Germany, France, Spain and Italy will have mobilizations of domiciliary people to demand better working conditions.
The protest is called just after a Bogotá labor court ruled in favor of a domiciliary who sued the application in which he worked to have his benefits recognized.
