Until now, Prodeco’s activity has focused on the Calenturitas and La Jagua mines. The company must return its mining titles to Colombia and so filed it with the National Mining Agency (ANM).

Weeks ago, the newspaper Portafolio even mentioned Prodeco as the first company victim of the coal crisis in Colombia at this time. In addition, he stressed that it is a company that has been operating in the country for 30 years, with an investment of 3,000 million dollars.
The total number of direct employees that this company has is 1,200. The first cut in personnel, of several that would be made on account of the decision, is 100 workers.
