Four thieves wearing household uniforms from a well-known chain drugstore perpetrated this Friday a millionaire robbery in an apartment where the Acosta Bendek family lives in Barranquilla.
According to the report of the Metropolitan Police of Barranquilla, the false addresses entered the residential complex La Mansión, located in the Riomar neighborhood, in the north of this capital at approximately three in the afternoon.
The thieves intimidated the guard of the group, identified as 50-year-old Raúl Antonio Ortega Cantillo, with firearms and gagged him.
Later, according to the authorities, they went up to apartment 602, where they also intimidated and threatened the owner of the house, 77, and her daughter with firearms. They gagged them and began to search the entire house.
The older adult and her daughter are relatives of the late former senator of the Republic, Gabriel Acosta Bendek.
The Mebar indicated that the four criminals disguised as Cruz Verde domiciles stole: 2 watches, 1 HP brand laptop, 2 Montblanc pens, 1 Canon 7D camera, 1 lapel microphone, 200 euros and 200 dollars.
The amount of the theft has not yet been established.
The investigation has presented the inconvenience that the residential complex does not have security cameras, therefore the images of the thieves were not recorded.
The authorities hope to find the whereabouts of those responsible.
