Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, director of the World Health Organization (WHO) said on Sunday that he has voluntarily quarantined himself after being in contact with a person who had tested positive for COVID-19, even though he has no symptoms.

“I have been identified as a contact with someone who has tested positive for # COVID19,” reports Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus in a tweet, before adding: “I am fine and have no symptoms but I will observe a quarantine in the next few days, according to the @WHO protocols (for its acronym in English) and I work from home, “he added.
