“In relation to this meeting, it is reported that by virtue of the decision of the Superintendency of Companies of last November 11, 2020, to decree the opening of the judicial liquidation process of Cúcuta Deportivo FC; and the decision of the Ministry of Sports to suspend the sporting recognition of Cúcuta Deportivo FC, the Assembly of Clubs Affiliated to DIMAYOR, decided that, within the framework of the legal consequences provided in the DIMAYOR statutes, the applicable regulations and the Law 49 of 1993, the disaffiliation of Cúcuta Deportivo FCSA will be ratified in liquidation of the DIMAYOR ”.
It is necessary to specify that the Superintendency of Companies allowed Cúcuta Deportivo to develop its corporate purpose today and the institution was waiting for the Ministry of Sports to respond to a request to resume sports recognition.
For now, the liquidator Arturo Acosta Villaveces is expected to seek the legal mechanisms to cope with this situation.
