América de Cali is focused on the final against Santa Fe and on conquering its 15th star, a goal for which it already took an important advantage in the first leg (3-0). However, the name of the two possible reinforcements was leaked, replacements for Éder Chaux and Juan Pablo Segovia for 2021.

As it was known, the men who would reach the Valle del Cauca red and who would be announced next week once the 2020 championship ends, are the goalkeeper Diego Novoa, from La Equidad, and the central defender Jerson Malagón, who had been performing with Deportivo Pasto.

Novoa is a 31-year-old from Bogotá who has played his entire career (since 2009) with the insurance team. He added 229 professional games and scored a goal, from a free kick, in the 2017-I League. Novoa, who sounded for Independiente Medellín, would be the replacement for Éder Chaux who will not continue in the team for next season and who they assure would reach Junior, instead of José Luis Chunga.

The contract that would be made in the position of central defender, after the departure of Argentine Juan Pablo Segovia, would be Jerson Malagón. The 27-year-old from Bogotá has played for six teams in Colombia, the most recent Deportivo Pasto. He also played for La Equidad, Patriotas and Águilas Doradas, among others. Malagón would have been an option for Atlético Nacional, Deportivo Cali and Independiente Medellín.

The maximum shareholder of the scarlets, Tulio Gómez, said in a recent interview that after defining the 2020 title, the first names will be delivered in relation to the departure and arrival of players.
