Deportivo Cali asserted this Wednesday its superiority over Boyacá Chicó, one of the coleros in the table, by beating it 3-1 on date 14 of the Colombian League, a triumph that allows it to establish itself among the eight teams partially classified for the final party .

The triumph of the cast of Professor Alfredo Arias, at the Palmaseca stadium, at a time (2:00 pm) in which the sun and temperature were punishing over Valle del Cauca territory was comfortable.

The sugar players started with momentum and in minute 6 they already generated a dangerous move, through a header from Déiber Caicedo that went slightly off the track.

But it was in the 12th minute that the scoring opened. Agustín Palavecino received a ball on the edge of the area, faked with a first shot and placed the ball for the left profile. The shot rebounded off a defender and misplaced the goalkeeper of Chicó, Pablo Mina, an old acquaintance of the Verdiblanco team.

Two minutes later, Palavecino himself filtered a pass for Déiber, who entered the area and finished with a right hand for the 2-0 in favor of Cali.

There the account did not stop. In the 21st, Angelo Rodríguez received a ball after a throw-in, entered at 18 and saw Déiber free to touch the ball. The forward only pushed the ball. Second in his personal account and third in Cali.

Chicó discounted at 25 through a free kick from Géimer Balanta. A poorly arranged barrier allowed a somewhat faulty shot to defeat David González. 3-1.

Before the end of the first stage of the game, Déiber had to leave the court due to injury, apparently nothing serious, to make way for José Enamorado.

Second time

Barely three minutes of the complementary part elapsed, when Chicó approached the González premises with danger. A ball from Balanta, the most incisive man of the visitors, crashed into the horizontal. He was alone with the bow.

Cali immediately responded with another shot on the post, by Andrés Arroyo, who launched a shot from outside the area.

At that point, coach Arias had already made movements on the payroll. He left Kevin Moreno and Andrés Colorado in the dressing room, for Éduar Caicedo and Andrés Balanta. Later he would give way to Carlos Lizarazo for Ángelo Rodríguez.

In the complementary, Cali lost offense, perhaps due to the modifications made by the coach and the reaction of Chicó, who seeks to save himself from relegation this season.

However, the sugar producers were able to control the game, manage the times and achieve a new victory that allows them to reach 24 points in the Colombian League position table, within the group of eight.

Next Monday, Deportivo Cali will host Independiente Santa Fe for the 15th date of the championship, at its stadium.
