Nicolás García Bustos, governor of Cundinamarca, announced this Friday that decreed a curfew in all municipalities of the department for minors, between 5 pm today and 6 am next Tuesday.

“We ratify, of course, the guarantees to exercise the right to demonstrations, but we will not tolerate acts of vandalism like those presented yesterday in many municipalities of Cundinamarca against public buildings,” said the governor.

The measure is taken because, according to García, the events presented this Thursday showed the presence of minors in the demonstrations. He defended that the measure is taken “protecting them and prioritizing their rights.”

Another measure adopted in the department is the prohibition of barbecue grills on motorcycles.

Likewise, he said that the presence of the Public Force will be reinforced, “guaranteeing those who express themselves in a peaceful and legitimate way, but also guaranteeing to the thousands and thousands of Cundinamarqueses their safety and their right to travel in a calm manner,” said the departmental president. .

This Thursday events were presented that left eight arrests and two apprehensions in various municipalities of Cundinamarca, according to the official report.

In Mosquera, Funza, Cajicá and Chía there were gatherings around the police stations. In Fusagasugá there were local damage to the Gaula and Sijín facilities and clashes with the Esmad of the Police. In Chía, the station was attacked, with damage to the infrastructure, as were the El Rosal and Chipaque stations. In Girardot there were demonstrations without damage, as in Tocancipá, Sopó, Cota and Tabio.
