Although Bogotá ruled out decreeing a curfew this weekend for the Halloween celebration, several capitals and intermediate cities decided to apply the measure in order to stop a possible increase in cases of covid-19.
For now, the measure, which is used in Europe to stop outbreaks, will be applied in different ways in 312 municipalities in the country.
Only Boyacá decreed the measure for its entire territory. This will be in force from October 30 to November 2 between 7 p.m. and 2 a.m.

In Tolima, a curfew was requested for the entire territory, but so far only Ibagué complied with it. In addition, there will be dry law for the next four weekends. The measure will govern for 12 hours, starting at 4 in the afternoon on Halloween. The restriction times for the other weekends have not been confirmed.
In Antioquia, the red alert for the occupation of UCI beds led Governor Aníbal Gaviria and the mayors to be strict and to decree a dry law and touch general curfew in 104 of the 125 municipalities in the department, while in another 20, including Medellín, the curfew measure will only apply to minors. The only Antioquia municipality that has not imposed any restrictions, for now, is Girardota.
In Bucaramanga they also took drastic measures and Halloween celebrations are prohibited. The mayor of Bucaramanga, Juan Carlos Cárdenas, assured that the curfew will be maintained during the weekend but the dry law will not be implemented. Similarly, in Floridablanca, a neighboring municipality, the curfew will start at 3 pm
In the Coffee Region, Manizales and Armenia decreed a curfew and mobility restrictions during this weekend. Pereira, Dosquebradas, La Virginia and Santa Rosa de Cabal, in Risaralda, joined in restricting the mobility of their inhabitants from Friday to Monday.
In Montería, another capital hit hard by the virus, a dry law and a general curfew were enacted. The measure also prohibits the consumption of liquor to any time of day in front gardens and terraces of homes, as well as holding mass meetings in shopping centers, closed complexes or public places.
In Neiva, where the curfew for minors already operates, it will apply to everyone during the nights of October 30 and 31 and November 1, between 10 p.m. and 5 a.m. And on Monday, November 2, there will be mandatory confinement throughout the day. The mayor of the city, Gorky Múñoz Calderón, pointed out that it seeks to avoid crowds and protect children. Neiva today adds more than 13,000 infections and 337 deaths.

Looser measurements
In other regions, the curfew will only be for minors, such as Villavicencio, where motorcyclist caravans were also prohibited. costumed, mass events in shopping malls, closed sets, bars, clubs and other outdoor venues.
The Mayor’s Office of Cúcuta will only allow minors to go out at night, from October 28 to November 2, accompanied by their parents.
In other major capitals, such as Cali and Barranquilla, no strict measures have been taken.
The mayor of Cali, Jorge Iván Ospina, announced that he will not apply a curfew in any case, but caravans of cars and motorcycles will be prohibited on the night of October 31.

Barranquilla will not implement any restrictions either, but the neighboring municipality of Soledad decreed a dry law during this holiday bridge.
