Cali will have an extended curfew and prohibition law this weekend, the mayor of the city, Jorge Iván Ospina, announced on Wednesday night in a Facebook Live broadcast by the Cali Mayor’s Office.

Although the local president had announced on Tuesday that there would only be a night curfew and dry law on the weekend, he decided to tighten the restriction after 1,054 new cases of covid-19 and 19 deaths from the virus were confirmed this Wednesday in the city , with which the total figures reached 104,407 infections and 2,921 deaths.
“We want our people to be in a quarantine, in a confinement, in an intimate reflection in their homes, in a due protection”, argued Ospina.
