After the crowds that were presented this Saturday in the capital of the country led by fans of América de Cali, the District Administration announced three measures that were taken in conjunction with the bars and the security and government authorities. Of these stands out a curfew that runs from midnight this Sunday to 4 a.m. on Monday.

At a press conference in which she was accompanied by the Secretary of Security, Hugo Acero, and the commander of the Bogotá Police, Óscar Gómez Heredia, Mayor Claudia López added other announcements for the final match of Colombian professional soccer between Santa Fe and America: there will be Prohibition from noon this Sunday until 6 am on Monday, which includes the prohibition of the sale of alcohol at home, and also the suspension of the TransMilenio service from 6 pm this Sunday.

“Thank you very much for your understanding, to the fans for celebrating in peace, without gunpowder or elements that can generate violence, stay at home, those who want to watch the game at home and avoid risks“said the president.
“There will be a Unified Command Post and a device of 3,000
Police officers, in addition to the quadrant surveillance device
of the different sectors of the city, at the different control points, at the
the same as the social dialogue team and coexistence managers, to avoid
disturbances of public order, “stated from the Mayor’s Office.
‘Without liquor and without gunpowder’
After making the announcement, Mayor Claudia López assured in the newscast ‘Noticias Caracol’ that the measures adopted, rather than preventing the contagion of covid-19 in the city, seek to prevent the soccer party from ending in fights and riots. According to López, there are agreements with barristas to watch the game in parks and other parts of the city, but in order, without weapons, without the use of gunpowder and without the consumption of liquor in public spaces.
The mayor’s idea, as she said, is that the citizens of the capital enjoy the game at home early and that they do not abuse alcohol consumption and take to the streets to celebrate. The local president assured that the curfew measure was not imposed early because the administration appeals to the “citizen culture” of the people.
López also affirmed that he does not intend to end the celebrations of soccer fans, but rather that he wants the Colombian soccer final to be lived safely. The mayor stressed that the fans have authorized the use of fireworks under the supervision of experts in two specific areas: the El Campín stadium and a nearby lot.
Although there is still an increase in the occupancy of ICU beds in the capital,
The mayor assured again this Sunday that the hospital situation remains under control and that she does not contemplate new restriction measures to manage the rate of infections by covid-19 in addition to the peak and ID.
