Cúcuta Deportivo was disenrolled from Dimayor – Colombian Soccer – Sports

The same day that the Superintendency of Societies had given him an artificial respirator, allowing him to operate for four months to try to regain his sports recognition, Dimayor gave Cúcuta Deportivo the coup de grace on Wednesday.

The club was disenrolled from the entity and will not be able to compete in the entity’s official tournaments. He had already been left aside from the Eliminated League.

Thus, in the absence of official confirmation, the tournament in the first half of 2021 would be played with only 19 teams and there would only be one decrease.

The Cúcuta Deportivo liquidator, Arturo Acosta Villaveces, was not allowed to participate in the assembly. It should be remembered that one of the consequences of the suspension of sports recognition is not being able to have a voice or vote in club meetings.

This is the Dimayor statement in this regard:

The extraordinary assembly of the Major Division of Colombian Soccer – DIMAYOR, held a virtual meeting with the clubs affiliated to the entity.

In relation to this meeting, it is reported that by virtue of i) the decision of the Superintendency of Companies of November 11, 2020, to decree the opening of the judicial liquidation process of Cúcuta Deportivo FC; and ii) the decision of the Ministry of Sports to suspend the sports recognition of Cúcuta Deportivo FC, adopted through Resolutions Nos. 000858 of July 30, 2020 and 001320 of October 28, 2020, the Assembly of Clubs Affiliated to DIMAYOR, decided that, within the framework of the legal consequences established in the DIMAYOR statutes, the applicable regulations and in Law 49 of 1993, the disaffiliation of Cúcuta Deportivo FCSA in liquidation of the DIMAYOR be ratified.
