Crime reward for a patrolman killed in Guayabal

The Police regretted and offered a reward to clarify the crime of the patrolman of the Metropolitan Police of the Aburrá Valley who was murdered in the La Colina de Guayabal sector, Medellín.

Regarding the events, Brigadier General Pablo Ruiz, MEVAL commander, explained that the crime occurred when the uniformed man tried to defend the property of a citizen, who was being robbed by two criminals.

At that moment, the patrolman and his companion arrived at the site and the criminals fled.

The uniformed man ran after one of them and in the middle of the chase, the thief inflicted three shots on him with a firearm that finally took his life.

Reward to find those responsible

The commander of the Metropolitan Police of Valle de Aburrá reported that the authorities are offering up to 50 million pesos, as a reward, to those who provide information to find those responsible for the vile crime.

Likewise, he stressed that the uniformed men are already carrying out an operation in areas surrounding the scene of the events to find the murderers.

The National Police regretted the murder of the patrolman Mario Andrés who offered his life safeguarding that of the inhabitants of Medellín.
