The municipality of Restrepo, Valle del Cauca, is shocked by the murder of two sisters, one of them a minor. The events occurred in a rural area of this town.
The authorities began investigations to clarify the double crime and offered a reward pending the identification and arrest of those responsible.
Last Saturday Maribel Carlosama Ortiz, 21, and her sister, 14, left their home in the municipality of Restrepo.
One version indicates that an adult would be waiting for them in the same area of residence. Other testimonies suggest that they were found in an area in the center of this municipality, with about 20,000 inhabitants.
In this city it is said that the eldest daughter informed her family that she would return home after shopping in Buga.
Hours later, relatives began to worry about the whereabouts of the sisters. Police reported that at dusk on Saturday a report was received about the discovery of two women in a rural area.
The two would show vital signs and were taken to a health center, but hours later they were declared dead. Maribel Carlosama received two shots in the back and one at the hip. Her little sister received three point-blank shots to the chest.

“Today the municipality of Restrepo is in mourning. We wake up with the sad news of the vile murder of two restrepeñas. We sympathize with the family that is experiencing this tragedy,” said Mayor Armando Vélez, who announced a reward to obtain information that carries to establish the circumstances, motives and identity of those responsible.
The municipal person, Kamila andrea Gómez, urged “the judicial and administrative authorities to take measures against this painful act of violence. We ask for speed in the investigations to determine the causes and those responsible. “
“We transferred a special commission for this investigation. We have very specific information that the young women left with an adult,” said the commander of the Valle Police Department, Colonel Jorge Urquijo.
He noted that “we require that this person appear before the authorities to give his version.”
