The entity authorized the development of phase III of the Janssen pharmaceutical vaccine in the country.

That is why this September 21 will begin with the recruitment of volunteers for treatment.

“On Thursday, September 10, the results of cohort 1 were received, corresponding to the phase 1/2 study of VAC31518COV1001 of the subjects who were exposed to the vaccine to be evaluated, proving that it offers the security required to start the phase III in the country, “Invima said.

Once the safety of the vaccine was verified, the entity gave him the green light at the beginning of the procedure.

For this reason, it also announced the authorization of four new research centers that will carry out the clinical trial in phase III of the Ad26.COV2.S. vaccine.

In this way, Colombia will be one of the first countries in Latin America, along with Brazil, to be ready to start the trial.
