Covid in Colombia: infections, deaths, recovered as of April 2, 2021 – Health

For this Friday, April 2, 2021, the Colombian health authorities reported 163 new deaths from covid-19 throughout the national territory.

Of these, 146 deaths correspond to days before and 17 to this Good Friday.

With the total figure, the country already reaches 63,777 deaths because of the pandemic.

Regarding those infected, 10,222 new cases were reported, which came out after processing 43,401 tests, of which 29,873 were PCR and 13,528, antigens.

Since March 2020, when the first case was registered, Colombia accumulates 2,428,048 infections.

Of all those cases, 2,300,887 are already recovered and 55,062 are active cases.

Bogotá is the area most affected by infections, with 690,844. They are followed by Antioquia (with 380,298), Valle del Cauca (with 209,698), Atlántico (with 156,344) and Cundinamarca (with 111,526).

Worldwide, 129,992,059 people have been infected with coronavirus, 2,832,712 have died and 73,655,566 have recovered.
