63.8 percent of confirmed COVID-19 deaths were men and in terms of age ranges, 74.1 percent (almost three out of four) are concentrated in people over 60 years of age.

By extending the analysis time and reviewing what happened throughout 2020 and the excess mortality, the Dane reveals that between epidemiological weeks 1 to 30 there were 14,662 more deaths than the average of the last five years from all causes.

This excess is marked by the confirmed and suspected deaths of covid-19, according to the director of the entity, Juan Daniel Oviedo.
