Covid-19 infections in Colombia exceeded 800 thousand cases, Valle already has more than 60 thousand

This Saturday in Colombia, 7,721 more positive covid-19 were reported, with which the barrier of 800 thousand cases was surpassed, according to the bulletin of the Ministry of Health.

They indicated that 806,038 coronavirus infections have been recorded in the country since the health emergency began, while active cases continue to decline: for this day the figure is 78,956.

In addition, they reported 193 more associated deaths, of which 173 correspond to previous days. In total, 25,296 people have died from the disease in the country.

In the Valley, infections rose above sixty thousand cases, and now there are 60,369 identified. In addition, they reported 18 deaths from covid-19, fourteen of them in Cali.

The other deaths in the region correspond to the municipalities of Cartago (2), Palmira and San Pedro.

The new positives identified in the session are distributed in Bogotá (2,397), Antioquia (1,220), Valle (584), Santander (484), Cesar (324), Cundinamarca (304), Huila (238), Tolima (212), Meta (177), Norte de Santander (177), Caquetá (168), Cauca (167), La Guajira (141), Risaralda (135), Quindío (125), Caldas (121), Córdoba (114), and Nariño (113).

Below the hundred cases were Barranquilla (93), Sucre (65), Boyacá (63), Santa Marta (57), Atlántico (49), Casanare (31), Cartagena (30), Guaviare (25), Arauca ( 24), Bolívar (18), Madgalena (17), Putumayo (17), San Andrés (10), Chocó (9), Guainía (7), Vichada (4) and Amazonas (1)
