Given the increase in coronavirus cases in Santander, the mayors of the Different municipalities complied with the recommendation of Governor Mauricio Aguilar to extend the restrictive measures on special December dates.

The first president to announce the changes to the curfew was Juan Carlos Cárdenas, mayor of Bucaramanga.

The usual curfew between eleven at night and five in the morning will continue until the fourteenth of December.

From fifteen to twenty-four the curfew will be from eleven at night until
four in the morning and there will be a modification in the night of the candles, Christmas and New Years.

The president prohibited meetings of more than 10 people and suggested that companies give the afternoon off on December 24 and 31 so that people can share as a family early on these dates.

Barranquilla bets on self-care at Christmas

Barranquilla will turn on its Christmas lighting this Tuesday and thus officially opens this season of special dates. For this reason, the Mayor’s Office of Barranquilla will carry out the event virtually.

From this Tuesday, until December 31, you will be able to appreciate the Christmas lighting of Montería, especially in the traditional Ronda del Sinú, but with the restriction that requires the peak and ID for the family group.

Those who wish to visit the illuminated areas must do so with the mother or a responsible adult woman, who the authorities will verify the last digit of her identification card to enter.

Cali, on orange alert

Cartagena medical union warns of outbreak by mid-December

The mayor of Cartagena, William Dau, through decree 1473 of November 30, 2020 established a curfew and dry law in 11 neighborhoods of the city where infection rates rose.

The neighborhoods, called special care areas are Manga Blas de Lezo, San Fernando, Manga, El Pozón, Los Alpes, Olaya Herrera, Ternera, Las Gaviotas, Nuevo Bosque, Zaragocilla and El Campestre.

In these special areas, the circulation of the public for premises and commercial activities is restricted between 8 pm and 6 am, with the exception of purchases domiciliary and platforms.

In addition, the sale and consumption of alcoholic beverages in commercial spaces between the hours of 8 pm and 6 am is prohibited.
The decree is the District’s response to the threat of an outbreak of the pandemic.

On Saturday 406 positive cases were registered and on Sunday the National Institute of Salud reported 272 cases throughout the District.
