Covid-19: Colombia received a new batch of vaccines from Pfizer – Health

The Ministry of Health announced this Saturday that Colombia received a new batch
of vaccines from the Pfizer laboratory, to continue with the execution of the Plan
National Vaccination against covid-19.

According to Germán Escobar, Chief of Staff of the Ministry of Health and
Social Protection, 280,800 doses of this vaccine arrived in the country
laboratory.

These doses will be distributed to the territories in order to continue with
the immunization of human talent in health and the elderly population
60 years.

“They will be used to continue reinforcing the vaccination of this second stage,
both for health professionals and adults over 60, who
will continue to be covered progressively as we have been doing,
for five years, ”Escobar explained.

In the same way, he recalled that for the month of April a
vaccine arrival volume of 2.2 million from this laboratory, which
it will allow mass vaccination to continue in the country.
