Carlos Carreño, the first Colombian to receive the covid-19 vaccine, developed by son Johnson & Johnson, He said he feels good and that he is not sorry for being part of these tests.
“I feel very good. Yesterday (Thursday) in the afternoon I had some discomforts, a decay but everything normal ”, Carreño expressed in an interview with Arriba Bogotá of City TV.

He said he was excited when he learned about these vaccine trials in the country, sand he registered via the internet and went to the Fundación Clínica Cardiovascular, in Floridablanca, Santander, to start the process. “Randomly the day before, being in the process they informed me that it could be the first and, with surprise, I did not expect all this,” he said.
For Carreño, being a volunteer was an individual decision and he did not consult with his family. “After I signed up, I decided to talk to my wife, she was surprised at first but I gave her the reasons and explained what was happening at the Foundation and the doctors explained the whole procedure to me. Even she was motivated to enroll and is waiting to be called soon, “he added.

He also said that according to the recommendations, you should continue with your normal activities, as you had been doing before receiving the vaccine: “I have to lead a normal life as I have been giving it (…) I have monitoring by the Foundation and I have a test device, of saliva, the swab in case it becomes infected with covid-19 and direct communication through a head nurse who monitors me from the Foundation ”.
He also said that he uses a Johnson & Johnson app where you have to report any symptoms such as a severe headache or loss of smell, among others.
