The third extension of the state of alarm begins and supermarkets continue to establish prevention and care measures to avoid contagion in their staff. They want to guarantee the safety of their workers.

Grocery stores, along with gas stations, pharmacies, tobacconists, food retail and basic necessities among others, are the only establishments that remain open to the public.

Mercadona

The Spanish chain was closing two hours earlier than usual, as it has practically done during the last month. Your schedule will then be from 09:00 to 19:00. In addition, the chain has reported that access to healthcare personnel, firefighters, police, people with disabilities or reduced mobility, the elderly, pregnant women and their necessary companions will be prioritized. As usual, the capacity will be limited and home deliveries will not be possible at the moment (except in some exceptional stores).

Carrefour

Carrefour will maintain its usual schedule from Monday to Saturday, from 09:00 to 21:00, and from 09:00 to 15:00 on Sundays and holidays. From Monday to Saturday, the hours will be from 09:00 to 20:00, while on Sundays they will open from 10:00 to 15:00. El Corte Inglés will keep open all areas of food and basic necessities, after the decisions adopted by the competent authorities on the closure of shops throughout the national territory in the face of the declared health alert situation.

Supermarket hours will remain the same as before. The one at Supercor is from 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. from Monday to Sunday. Some stores close at 9:00 p.m. For its part, in the group’s hypermarkets, Hipercor, the hours will be from 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. from Monday to Saturday. On Sundays, from 11:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.

The supermarket chain maintains its opening hours established on March 23. This is from 09:00 to 19:00 hours from Monday to Saturday, although the establishments that work on Sundays until noon will continue to do so. Some stores are open from 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.

On the other hand, online sales are maintained, although with a specific protocol for preparers and distributors, who will place orders with vinyl gloves.

Alcampo hypermarkets will maintain their closing hours at 9:00 p.m. from Monday to Saturday, while on Sundays and holidays, the closure will be at 20:00. Supermarkets, for their part, will remain open until 8:30 p.m.
