The Ministry of Health confirmed 203 more deaths from covid-19 in Colombia, of which 181 correspond to previous days. With this update, the total number of deaths in the country rises to 21,615.

This Monday, September 7, The health authority also reports 5,327 new infections in the last 24 hours, after 21,856 PCR tests and 8,760 antigen tests were processed.
The striking thing about this Monday’s figures is that, compared to previous days, there was a sharp drop in the number of confirmed daily infections, despite the fact that the average number of daily tests performed was maintained (between 20,000 and 25,000 PCR and between 7,000 and 10,000 antigen).
In the last three days, the figure exceeded 8 thousand cases (8,065 on Sunday, 8,394 on Saturday and 8,488 on Friday). This would show a downward trend. In fact, Colombia did not report nearly 5,000 daily cases since last July 15.

With the data from the most recent report, the country reaches 671,848 confirmed coronavirus cases. To date, Bogotá is the city with the most cases. The capital reached the figure of 227,979 confirmed infections after 2,029 more cases were confirmed this Monday.
This report from the Ministry of Health also indicates that, In the last 24 hours, 11,050 recovered patients were confirmed. Thus, there are already 529,279 patients who, to date, have overcome covid-19 in Colombia.
With this update, in total 119,563 cases remain active in the country.
