Finally the expected news! The Premier League and cultural and sporting events already have the green light from the British Government.
In fact, the authorities have already set a specific date: June 1st. And yes, as in almost the rest of the world, the return will be behind closed doors.
The need to avoid a new wave of covid-19 coronavirus infections, in the European country with the highest number of fatalities, forces this decision not to have an audience to be, as the president said, “for a long time.”
How much will that be? “It may only be possible significantly later depending on the reduction in the number of infections,” explains the official document.
With this decision, the presidents of the clubs arrive at the meeting on Monday, still divided on the details and without having on the agenda the final decision to return on June 12, as they had planned, but with an important accolade from the Government.
