The Ministry of Health confirmed this Friday that the number of infections by covid-19 rose to 945,354, of which 77,616 are active. In the last 24 hours alone, 8,372 new patients were diagnosed with the virus, after 43,129 tests were performed.

In addition, the most recent report of the health authority gives an account of 159 deaths, which were registered in the last day, with which the total number of deaths due to the pandemic reached 28,616.

As for the number of recovered in the country, it amounted to 837,001, of which 10,170 appear as new in the last report.
So far, the city with the most cases in Bogotá, where 294,032 positive cases have been reported.

Regarding the 8,372 patients who became infected with the virus in the last hours, 1,880 were detected in Antioquia; 1,068, in Bogotá; 739, in Valle; 541, in Risaralda; and 461, in Santander, the territories most affected in this Friday’s update.
Almost 39 million infections and 1,099,184 deaths are already registered worldwide.
