In the first part, Ruiz warned, 273,000 million pesos will be paid, from debts that have been generated this year.

The President announced that the goal is that “before the end of May those debts are settled.”

Additionally, the head of the health portfolio assured that currently there are 5,845 beds in the Intensive Care Unit and “58% availability of beds”.

Faced with the situation in Amazonas, he assured that they are going to implement a “comprehensive strategy” to be able to contain that focus of contagion that exists in the department.

Martha Ospina, director of the National Institute of Health (INS), assured that in this first phase 104,000 tests have been carried out. “With robots, at least 2,000 tests will be carried out a day.” “The goal is that from May to June we can do 1,200,000 tests,” he said.

Regarding social aid, Diego Molano, director of Dapre, warned that one million households had a VAT refund. “As for Solidarity Income, complete 1,378,000 direct payments.” The goal, Molano warned, is to return the amount of VAT to three million people.

The Minister of Labor, Ángel Custodio Cabrera, announced that more than 1,500,000 older adults have received support from the Government.
