The director of the Departmental Health Institute of Nariño, Diana Paola Rosero, reported that the passenger, whose identity is kept in absolute reserve, is being held in a hospital in the capital of Nariño.

“She is already hospitalized in a hospital in the city,” the official revealed, adding that eight other passengers who had traveled on the same flight are isolated and are asymptomatic for coronavirus.

“The person notified the moment he arrived at the Antonio Nariño airport in the municipality of Chachaguí,” he added.

He also pointed out that according to the National Liaison Center and the guideline provided by the Ministry of Social Protection, the woman had close contacts with eight people “We are monitoring them rigorously,” Rosero said.

The infected woman presented health complications during the flight and, upon arrival at the terminal, received airport health care.

There, the doctor had reviewed his medical history and found that he had taken a test for covid-19 the day before the trip, which was positive, which she never reported to the authorities at the El Dorado airport in Bogotá, where she boarded the plane that took a flight time of one hour to the Chachaguí airport that serves the city of Pasto.

There is discomfort and concern in the health authorities of Nariño due to the irresponsible attitude of the passenger.
