Coronavirus in Colombia: deaths and infections today October 12 – Health

This Monday the Ministry of Health delivered a new report on the situation of the coronavirus in Colombia. The report confirms 7,767 new infections after processing 28,318 tests. With this figure, the country reaches a total of 919,083 cases.

Likewise, the health authority confirmed 151 new deaths, of which 130 belong to previous days. With this figure, the total number of deaths from covid-19 increases, then, to 27,985.

As for the recovered patients, there are already 798,396 Colombians who have managed to overcome the coronavirus. On the other hand, the active cases confirmed this October 12 are 90,621.

Regarding the regions of the country that present the most cases, the department of Antioquia leads the list with 2,624 infections reported in the last hours, 1,599 more than Bogotá, a city that is usually in the first position. This Monday 1,025 new infections were reported in the capital; 516 in the Valley, 397 in Huila, 282 in Santander and 273 in Boyacá.

Worldwide, 37,568,843 people have been infected with coronavirus and 1,077,508 have lost their lives due to covid-19. On the other hand, the number of recovered in the world amounts to 26,128,645.
