Coronavirus in Colombia: deaths and infections today March 7, 2021 – Health

The report on the progress of the coronavirus pandemic in Colombia for this Sunday shows that the number of daily deaths continues to drop: this time it was reported that 91 more people lost their lives in the country due to covid-19. This is a figure that has not been seen since June and that occurs after the second peak in January.

In turn, it was reported that in the last 24 hours there were 3,411 new cases of contagion, after 21,679 tests had been processed (15,430 PCR and 6,249 antigens).

82 of the deceased reported correspond to previous days.

The Ministry of Health reported that there are currently 31,706 active cases of covid-19 in the country, in 1,409 conglomerates.

With 874 new cases, Bogotá continues to be the city in the country with the most daily infections.

With the figures for this Sunday, Colombia reaches 60,503 deaths and 2,276,656 confirmed cases. So far, 2,177,199 people have overcome the coronavirus in the country.

In the world, according to the Colombian health authority, 116,697,629 cases have been registered and 2,591,024 people have died.

As of 4 pm this Sunday, 296,240 vaccines against covid-19 had been applied throughout Colombia.
