Coronavirus in Colombia: cases and deaths today October 28 – Health

This Wednesday, the Ministry of Health delivered a new report on the situation of the coronavirus in Colombia. According to the report, in the last 24 hours 8,717 new infections were confirmed after processing 49,190 tests. With this figure, the country reaches a total of 1,041,935 cases.

Also, the health authority confirmed 188 deaths, more of which 167 belong to previous days. The total of deaths from covid-19 increases, then, to 30,753.

As for the recovered patients, 941,874 Colombians have managed to overcome the coronavirus. On the other hand, the health authority also reported that the active cases confirmed this October 28 are 66,912.

Antioquia is the department that most registered cases in the last hours with 2,109; Bogotá had 1,741; Valley 1,018 cases; Caldas 434 and Santander 420.

Worldwide, 44,052,388 people have been infected with coronavirus and 1,168,076 have lost their lives due to covid-19. The number of recovered in the world, for its part, amounts to 29,889,942.
