Coronavirus in Colombia: cases and deaths September 29 – Health

This Tuesday the Ministry of Health delivered a new report on the situation of the coronavirus in Colombia. According to the report, in the last 24 hours they were confirmed 5,839 new infections after processing 34,479 tests. With this figure, the country reaches a total of 824,042 cases.

Also, the health authority confirmed 187 more deaths. Of this number, 164 belong to previous days. The total of deaths from covid-19 increases, then, to 25,828.

Regarding the recovered patients, 734,154 Colombians have managed to overcome the coronavirus. On the other hand, confirmed active cases continue to decline: at the moment there are 62,307.

Within the cities and departments with the most registered cases, Bogotá continues to lead the list with 1,592 cases reported in the last hours. In second place is Antioquia with 1,307; then there is the Valley with 482; Santander is followed with 427 and in fifth place is Cesar with 244 new infections.

Chocó, Vichada, Guania, Guaviare and Casanare are among the places in the country with the fewest cases registered in the last 24 hours.

Worldwide, 33,423,469 people have been infected with coronavirus; 1’002.678 have died from covid-19 and 23’212.633 patients have recovered.
