DUKE INVITES TO A SAFE CHRISTMAS
President Iván Duque, in the prelude to the celebration of Christmas Eve, invited citizens to celebrate a safe Christmas, while expressing his gratitude to healthcare workers for their sacrifice in dealing with the coronavirus pandemic.
“On this date we invite you to have a safe Christmas, a Christmas in which our affection is shown by caring for others“, said.

And he added: “A very special light of hope is lit in the country, with the great news that we gave Colombians with the purchase of vaccines.”
Duque reported last Friday that Colombia will begin to apply the vaccine against covid-19 in the first weeks of 2021, for which it closed deals to acquire ten million doses from Pfizer laboratories, ten million from AstraZeneca and 20 million more through the Covax platform.

Colombia is experiencing an unusual Christmas this year, with Most of the people locked up at home, due to the restrictions adopted by the Government after the increase in cases of covid-19.
