The Ministry of Health confirmed 160 more deaths from covid-19 in Colombia. With this update, the death toll rises to 33,829.

The report of the health authority of this Saturday, November 14, 2020, also reports 8,307 new infections in the last 24 hours, after 55,611 tests were processed throughout the country. It is worth mentioning that, since the first confirmed case (March 6), 5,708,597 samples have been processed in Colombia.

Thus, the country reaches 1,191,004 confirmed coronavirus cases. To date, Bogotá is the city with the most cases. With the report this Saturday, the capital reaches the figure of 345,752 infections.

On the other hand, this report from the Ministry of Health indicates that, in the last 24 hours, 8,236 recovered patients were confirmed. Thus, there are already 1,097,576 patients who, to date, have overcome covid-19 in Colombia.

The new coronavirus pandemic has put Europe in check in recent weeks, which has seen its contagion figures soar after the dark weeks of March. Countries such as France, Germany and Spain have again imposed confinement measures and the United States, a country that in recent months has led the counts of infections and deaths, has also seen a rebound in cases.

In the Colombian case, the local authorities of some populations in the country have adopted some restriction measures to control the levels of contagion for this holiday weekend, the last of the year before the end of the year celebrations.

The Government has insisted on the need for citizens to wear masks, maintain physical distance and adopt biosafety protocols to continue advancing in the reactivation of the economy and daily life in the so-called new normal.
