The National Association of Industrialists (Andi), proposed that the June premiums are not paid on the date that they should be paid. The idea and the new proposal was brought to the attention of the National Government and seeks to alleviate entrepreneurs. June bonuses would be paid until December.

The proposal joins that of former Vice President Germán Vargas Lleras, who asked that the premiums that represent a trillion pesos not be paid.

“Workers can accept that payments be deferred to allow cash flows from companies, extend the time and allow the preservation of jobs,” said Andi’s vice president for Legal Affairs, Alberto Echavarría.

Echavarría’s idea that this premium not be paid in this month, but in 180 days, that is, that it be paid together with that of December. According to the manager, the idea is not that employees lose rights, but to help companies with cash flow.

June bonuses would be paid until December.

“We are very aware that the social rights of workers cannot be impaired or affected, but the workers have to make a contribution to the critical situation that this country is experiencing, because it is a collective contribution from everyone, from the Government, from employers, from workers, from society as a whole, ”he assured.
