This Saturday, January 23, the Ministry of Health confirmed 396 more deaths from covid-19 in Colombia. Thus, the country reaches 50,982 deaths caused by the coronavirus.

At present, there are 100.4 deaths per 100,000 inhabitants in the country, taking into account the Dane population estimate for 2020, which is 50.3 million inhabitants.

The health authority also reports 15,551 new infections in the last 24 hours after processing 43,997 PCR tests and 26,225 antigens.

In this way, the country reaches 2,002,969 confirmed coronavirus cases.

With the latest report, a total of 124,063 cases remain active in the country.

On the other hand, the report of the Ministry of Health indicates that, in the last 24 hours, 10,757 recovered patients were confirmed. Thus, there are already 1,822,309 patients who, to date, have overcome covid-19 in Colombia.

Bogotá is the city with the most new cases reported, with 5,591. Other regions with significant reports are Antioquia (1,808), Valle (1,334), Cundinamarca (1,052) and Tolima (736).
