This Tuesday, Binacional faces River Plate for the fourth date of the Copa Libertadores. The party will have several Colombians among those called up. For the Peruvian team are Leudo and Johan Arango, while in the Argentine Jorge Carrascal and Rafael Santos Borré appear.
The first game between these two teams was 8-0 in favor of the millionaires at the Monumental stadium and this Tuesday’s duel will be played in Lima, a long way from Juliaca, the venue where Binacional usually plays.
Be that as it may, Johan Arango has a personal challenge and that is to score against River Plate. His record in Copa Libertadores is not that long, but every time he played it was important.
Their first matches in this competition were with Once Caldas, when they faced Corinthinas in 2015. The target was unable to beat the Brazilians and they lost 4-0 in the first leg and drew 1-1 in the second leg. The only goal of the series was scored by the Valle del Cauca striker.
In 2017 he returned to the Copa Libertadores with Independiente Santa Fe. In the five games he played that year he scored a goal in three. To Sporting Cristal in the round trip and to Santos from Brazil, in Brazilian territory.
