Controversy over the father of a family who gave his daughter straps for participating in protests

The video of a father who beats his daughter with a strap in the middle of the demonstrations triggered by the death of Javier Ordóñez has gone viral.

The images, released by a regional media, show how the man uses his belt against the young woman, who tries to justify herself. Uniformed men who were in front of the CAI of Parque de la Vida, in Armenia, approached to avoid more blows.

Users of social networks have described the case as mistreatment and even family violence. They also consider that the young woman was “humiliated” by her father when she tried to protest for her rights.

Other comments applauded the father, however, the controversy continues.
