The seizure of a parrot in Córdoba has generated controversy, the family that had the wild species Amazona ochrocephala, known as the yellow moña parrot, argues that it has had the bird for more than 50 years.

Apparently, the owner of the parrot would be a 102-year-old woman who would have kept the bird after her husband died more than a decade ago, the newspaper El Heraldo detailed.

The woman would be living with the parrot in the El Guamo village, in the municipality of Cotorra, Bajo Sinú subregion, where as a family they enjoy the ‘show’ of the animal that enlivened the meetings.

A video circulates on Twitter in which it is observed who would be the owner of the bird. The recording was accompanied by this writing: “This story has moved me a lot. The Environmental Police seized Vitricio, a parrot who had been with Minerva Castellanos, 102, for 50 years. CVS says it will not return it because Colombian law prohibits having them. “
