The measure of the peak and ID that the people of Cartagena were waiting for so long, who had already gotten used to going out one day or another, no longer goes in the city. This is indicated in Decree 1193 of September 30, 2020.

According to the mayor, William Dau, this is because the city has managed a good behavior of COVID-19, so now it is up to each person to take care of themselves to take care of their own.

According to María Claudia Peñas, the advisor for the economic reactivation of the city, “at this moment the economy of the city is reactivated to 100%, only with some restrictions in restaurants and bars, who can only operate in open spaces free, by reservation and keeping the capacity ”.

With this, people will be able to go anywhere without any restrictions, as long as they comply with the basic biosafety measures, such as the mandatory use of a face mask, constant hand washing and a distance of two meters.

What is not allowed:

In this new decree that begins to take effect tomorrow, October 1 and will end on November 1, selective isolation with responsible individual distancing is maintained throughout the Cartagena District, however, the following activities are restricted to avoid crowds:

one. The provision of table service in gastronomic establishments and premises that do not have outdoor spaces, which may only provide their services through electronic commerce platforms, by home delivery and take away.

two. The activities of the hotel industry in the island zone of the entire District that are not authorized in the island reopening plan.

3. The disembarkation in the insular zone of ships of any draft or specification, destined to tourist, recreational or sports activities, with the exception of hotels that are authorized in the plan of reopening of islands.

Four. The stay on the beaches and the entry of bathers into the sea in the Cartagena District, allowing exclusively the use of beaches as pedestrian transit space, with the exception of those authorized through a pilot plan.

5. The entrance of the public to the sports, artistic and cultural stages.

What is allowed:

one. The pilot plan for the sale of alcoholic beverages in restaurants, gastronomic establishments and bars, which will be conditional on compliance with biosafety protocols.

two. The use of masks in public spaces and commercial establishments and social distancing are ordered.

3. The development of the permitted activities are conditioned to compliance with biosafety protocols, that their employees are registered on the website adapyreactiva.gov.co

Important

In this new decree, the opening hours are maintained in commercial establishments from 6 in the morning until 12 at night, as established in the previous decree.
