The Federation authorized the entry of influencers

Social networks turned against the Federation after Quesada’s complaint and it took a while for the governing body of soccer in the country to offer an answer.

It was hours after the meeting with the Colombian National Team that the Federation presented its explanations, and it did so through a press release, in which they indicated that all protocols were fully complied with.

“The protocol established for international matches and the regulations of the National Government for this type of event were fully complied with”noted the FCF.

One of the situations that most outraged Barranquilla was that despite the fact that at the end of September the Mayor’s Office of Barranquilla requested authorization to allow the entry of at least 5,000 fans to this first date of South American qualifiers to the Metropolitan Stadium, the request was rejected by the same FCF.

“The Colombian Football Federation used less than half of the quotas established in the protocol for international matches. Each attendee who entered the Roberto Meléndez Metropolitan Stadium in the city of Barranquilla was previously registered according to the guidelines, ”the statement added.

The FCF assured that each sponsor of the entity had the right to a quota and explained the case of recognized Barranquilla influencer Juanda Caribe as one who complied with all the registers and protocols.

“In a very specific case, one of the sponsors chose to give the assigned quota for its manager to a recognized digital influencer, who, like the other attendees, it complied with all the biosafety parameters regarding prior registration and sanitary guidelines ”, the Federation sentenced.

On Wednesday, two days before the sporting event, the Barranquilla Government Secretary, Clemente Fajardo, had assured that entry to the stadium would be very restricted and did not determine the presence of people outside the sporting activity.

Also, members of the logistics that Conmebol has arranged to enforce the biosecurity protocols, the referees, some television personnel who will be broadcasting the meeting and members of the Red Cross. ‘Both HomeCenter and other sponsors received a quota from the federation’

Among the brands that sent digital influencers to the Metropolitan Stadium in Barranquilla is HomeCenter, a sponsor brand of the Colombian National Team that invited the renowned influencer and ‘youtuber’ Juanda Caribe.

“On Thursday I received a call from HomeCenter, the official sponsor of the team, and they asked me if I wanted to go as a special envoy for the brand. Both HomeCenter and the other sponsors received a quota from the federation, which in turn was authorized by Conmebol. Initially, they had the idea of ​​holding a contest and bringing a Colombian to the meeting, but time worked against them and they decided to bring someone who had a following and was in Barranquilla, “added influencer Juanda Caribe.
