In dialogue with the Next Ideas YouTube channel, Luis Carlos Arias spoke about his present in Bolivia, with the health crisis that has hit soccer in that country in a great way, and remembered with pleasure his past in Independiente Santa Fe.

The Antioquia midfielder expressed his desire to return to the cardinal team and be able to retire there, along with the fans who always accompanied him between 2012 and 2015. Remember that he won four titles there, played 141 games and scored 26 goals.

In the first place, ‘Colitas’ spoke about the crisis in Bolivian territory: “I am fine and if I have the opportunity I will return, but there are other people who have priority and they are the most important.” He pointed out that there are 130 people wanting to return to the country, but 30 do not have the income to take care of the payment and therefore “we are trying to help them all.”

Regarding Santa Fe, he assured that his idea is “to knock on the cardinal doors to withdraw in Bogotá.” The above because “I want to see and enjoy a year of how beautiful the concentration with the club was”, arguing that “Eduardo Méndez is aware of my dream, so let’s wait to see what happens”.

He also added that he maintains communication with other references such as Yulian Anchico, Sergio Otálvaro and ‘Pacho’ Meza.

Finally, he revealed two anecdotes about his past in the Bogota team. First, he said that the 2013 Super League won over Millionaires “we celebrate more than the 2012 League, because they had brought many important reinforcements.” Second, “there were two opportunities to go to Nacional and I didn’t want to because I was fine in Santa Fe and because of the respect I have for Medellín.”
